Fix It Forward is a community outreach program that helps our neighbors with small home repair projects at no cost. Members of our local building community volunteer their time and skills to make simple fixes that can make a big difference in someone’s home and day-to-day life.

What We Can Help With
  • Small, easy-to-fix home maintenance items such as:
  • Installing grab bars or handicap-accessible ramps
  • Weather stripping around doors or windows
  • Patching small drywall holes or cracks
  • Re-caulking around bathtubs, showers, or windows
  • Tightening or replacing door locks and knobs
  • Fixing minor leaks under sinks or in faucets
  • Replacing light bulbs or small fixtures
  • Touch-up painting for walls, doors, or trim
  • Cleaning gutters seasonally

What's Not Included

For safety and licensing reasons, Fix It Forward volunteers cannot perform:

  • Window removal or installation
  • Insulation installation
  • Hanging or texturing drywall
  • Shower or bathtub installation
  • Exterior house painting
  • Major plumbing or electrical work

How It Works

 

  1. Fill out the request form at www.buildingflathead.com

  2. We’ll connect you with a Flathead Building Association (FBA) member who can help with your repair

  3. A volunteer will reach out to schedule a time to complete the project
